這是2021年《美國達人秀》（America’s Got Talent）一位三十歲罹癌歌手Nightbirde自己原創的歌曲"It’s Okay."，是首關於她生命最後一年的故事。她的癌細胞已經擴散到肺、脊椎、肝臟，生命只有2%的生存機率時，她是用什麼心境來詮釋這首歌的？

Howie- 30 years old, and the dream is to be a singer?
What are you going to be singing for us tonight?

Jane(Nightbirde)- Yeah.
Howie- It is.

Jane(Nightbirde)- I have not been working for quite a few years.
I’ve been dealing with cancer.
Howie- Oh, sorry.

Jane(Nightbirde)- Yeah. I’m okay.
Howie- All right.

Simon- Can I ask you a question? How are you now?
Jane(Nightbirde)- Last time I checked, I had some cancer in my lungs and my spine and my liver.
Simon – Wow.
Howie – So you’re not okay?
Jane(Nightbirde) – Well, not in every way, no.
Howie – You’ve got a beautiful smile and a beautiful glow.
其他人 – Mm-hmm. You do.
Howie- And nobody would know.
Jane(Nightbirde)- Thank you. It’s important that everyone knows I’m so much more than the bad things that happen to me.
Heidi- Yes.
Howie- All right. Sing for us.
Heidi- Good luck, Nightbirde.

Howie – You know, it’s funny, because singers come on, and I think about authenticity, you know, when you feel it,when it moves you. That felt like the most authentic thing I’ve heard this season.

It was heartfelt, and I think you’re amazing.

Heidi – You gave me chills. I mean, your voice is so beautiful to listen to. It was beautiful all the way around.
Simon- Your voice is stunning.
Heidi – Mm-hmm. It is.
Simon- Absolutely stunning, and I totally agree with what Howie said, you know, about authenticity.
There was something about that song after the way you just almost casually told us what you’re going through,and, oh, you know…
Jane(Nightbirde) – You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy.

there are, however …there have been some great singers this year.
